Last year in August, Bovada unexpectedly closed its poker room, transferring all of its client bases to the Ignition casino. In fact, Ignition has turned into Bovada using the same software, keeping the same players, but under a different name. This sale was a mystery, as there were nearly no data about the owner — Lynton Limited. And now the brand Bovada has returned and opens in the US and eight countries of Latin America:
Some experts believe that Bovada will very likely enter the Australian market. Following the adoption of new licensing rules, which will come into effect in September, many poker giants, such as PokerStars or PartyPoker, are fleeing Australia. Companies must leave the market in order not to violate the law. Thus, Bovada will become one of the top online poker rooms in this country, if all the conditions of licensing are met.
Although Bovada will accept US customers, New Jersey, Nevada, and Delaware residents will not be able to play, as there are special rules for licensing online poker in these states. Maryland may also get into this list. Most of the online poker operators legal problems will make it difficult to work in these areas.
It is worth noting that in February the investment group PaiWangLuo Poker acquired the Bodog Poker Network and renamed it. Now Bovada will be a part of the PaiWan Luo Poker network.
It is to be recalled that the Americas Cardroom offers deposit services based on Ethereum. This will allow the company's customers to use bitcoins and other digital currencies in a more convenient way.
